Belgian club set to accept €25m offer for Onuachu

Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu could be on his way out of Genk after head coach Dmitri De Conde revealed that the club are willing to listen to offers for the big forward in January.

The 28-year-old prolific scorer has been one of the best strikers in the Belgian Jupiler League in recent seasons and has scored 14 goals in 15 appearances for the Smurfs in the 2022/23 season.

According to Voetbal Primeur, Genk will let Onuachu leave if they get an offer in the region of €25m.

“Onuachu’s situation remains something special,” De Conde told Voetbal Primeur.

“At his age, you never know what will happen. If an offer comes, we can’t just block it. But then Wouter and I will do everything we can to convince him to stay,”

Onachu’s fine form with the Belgian Pro League outfit has made him attracted interest from several clubs in Europe's top five leagues including Fiorentina, Arsenal, West Ham, Lyon and Aston Villa.

Onuachu scored 33 goals in 38 league appearances for the Smurfs two seasons ago, and was also the club’s top scorer last term with 21 goals in 35 league appearances

Olayinka advised to dump Prague for Fenerbahce

FC Vlasim midfielder Zdenek Folprecht has advised Nigerian striker Peter Olayinka to quit Czech giants Slavia Prague for Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce.

The Nigeria international, who is comfortable playing across the attack, has been superb in the Czech topflight this season, scoring 11 goals and four assists from 23 appearances in all competitions.

In total, the Super Eagles striker has scored 44 goals and 23 assists in 170 appearances for Prague since joining in 2018, winning three league titles and two Cup titles.

Having enjoyed his time in Prague over the past four years, Olayinka has been heavily linked with a transfer away from the club and it is looking increasingly likely that he will move to the Turkish Super Lig.

Folprecht has now challenged him to make a big move away from Prague.

“If I could communicate with him, I would advise him to leave and move on,” Folprecht told Fotospor.

“Fenerbahce has a bigger name in the world than Slavia, they play with players around the world. Leaders in the league, there is a great atmosphere in the stands. Slavia has stadiums that are twice the size of the stadium, probably more money. The prestige of the club is higher than in Slavia.
