England captain Harry Kane has been linked with an exit from Tottenham and is reported target for both Manchester City and Manchester United.
And now former Celtic forward Chris Sutton believes the Tottenham star would be foolish to turn down a transfer to City if he has ambitions to win the Premier League.
Kane has been reported to prefer dumping the club rather than be a part of the ongoing rebuild under Jose Mourinho.
The 26-year-old has been rumoured with a switch to both Manchester United and Manchester City as well as European heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Kane recently admitted he was aiming to win trophies “sooner rather than later” and would consider leaving the club in order to do so.
Sutton believes the England captain would be foolish to reject the advances of City or Liverpool should they show interest in the summer transfer window.
“I can understand the predicament he is in,” he told BBC Radio 5Live.
“But if he wants to win the Premier League, then he should move on and go to a club who have a better chance of winning it than Spurs do.
“We all understand he wants to win something. So if he wants to win something, I wouldn't begrudge him a move.
“Spurs are a brilliant club, but at this moment in time, they are way behind the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.

“If one of those clubs came in for him, if you were Harry Kane you would be stupid not to go.”
