Jadon Sancho’s £250,000-a-week terms at Manchester United would put him third in the list of highest-earning players behind David de Gea (£350,000) and Paul Pogba (£250,000).
United broke new ground with the Borussia Dortmund star on Wednesday night after agreeing personal terms and agent fees.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are set to offer “£90m plus £18m in add-ons” to the German side for the fee.
Sancho’s salary would put him £30,000 ahead of fellow England forward Marcus Rashford [£220,000], Harry Maguire [getting £200,000-a-week].
The 20-year-old has been the subject of Solskjaer’s transfer strategy throughout the summer, with talks going on with the Westfalenstadion side since July.
While director Michael Zorc appeared to put an end to talks when the club’s August 10 deadline was missed, United have ploughed though and just have the £108m fee in their way.
