Kenneth Josiah Omeruo is a Nigerian footballer who plays for Leganes in the Segunda Division as a defender.
Omeruo has proven to be one of the elite defenders in La Liga league B, as he has proven with the National team.
Kenneth Omeruo Biography
In January 2012, Chelsea signed Omeruo from Liège and was immediately loaned to ADO Den Haag to start a spell of loan that saw him play on the road at Middlesbrough, Kasımpaşa, and Alanyaspor.
After an unsuccessful career with Chelsea, Omeruo was finally sold to Leganes after a loan deal.. He has since stated that he is enjoying life at Leganes despite the team currently playing in the Segunda Division.
Omeruo played for the Nigerian Under-20 team that reached the quarter-finals at the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia.
On 9 January 2013, at the age of 19, he played for the senior team for the first time in a goalless draw against Cape Verde.
He then went on to play in all of Nigeria's matches at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations as Nigeria went on to win the competition for the third time.
Omeruo has continued to be a central figure in the Nigeria National team featuring in almost all of the super Eagles competitions.

Kenneth was born in Abia State to Mr. and Mrs. Omeruo on 17 October 1993.
Being the firstborn, Kenneth has two younger siblings; a brother, Lucky, and a sister Chisom.

Wife and Kids
Kenneth married his long-time girlfriend Chioma Nnamani in a traditional marriage, held on 30 December 2017 in Enugu State. The English celebration of the marriage took place in Istanbul, Turkey.
In 2018 the couple welcomed their ﬁrst daughter Charein, and in 2020, they welcomed their second daughter Reina.
Kenneth Omeruo's Academy
Kenneth started the Kenneth Omeruo Academy in Abuja, the federal capital city of Nigeria.
The Academy aims to help the boy child achieve their dream of becoming footballers.
Kenneth stated that he created the Academy to help lift gifted aspiring footballers from poor homes into the spotlight and highest stage of football in Europe.
In an interview with Sports247, Kenneth's said that his Academy is his way of giving back to society and that the government cannot do everything alone.
He also said he would be pleased after his playing days if he watched the TV and saw the boys he helped ﬁnd their feet in football playing.
In another interview with Brila, he conﬁrmed that he is now a shareholder with a fourth division team in Portugal and uses the U-17 reserve position to bring in young aspiring Nigerian players in Europe while making money from it too.
He also talked about the humanitarian work he does in Abuja, where he pays school fees for 90 blind children in the school of the blind.
In April 2021, Kenneth Omeruo's Academy completed the movement of now Nigeria footballer Obi Agu to Leganes with the help of Kenneth's partnership with the club.
In July, the Academy also facilitated the movement of Samuel Obaleh to Leganes, another Nigeria Talent that has been impressing on European soil.

Kenneth Omeruo is a lover of cars and is fond of gifting his loved ones' cars on special occasions.
An example of this was when he bought his mum a Toyota Camry saloon car in 2016 as a gift to honor her on Mother's Day.
In 2020 he also took to his Instagram to reveal a Range Rover Velar that he had bought for his wife for Mother's Day to thank her for being a good mother to their kids.
