Paul Pogba may no longer be able to make that move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer following the news of Lionel Messi's departure from Barcelona.
Mauricio Pochettino, PSG boss, confirmed that his side are interested in signing the Argentine which puts Pogba's hopes of landing a Ligue 1 contract in doubt.
Despite the 28-year-old midfielder's desire to join the French side, PSG have not presented Manchester United with an offer for Pogba.
Instead, they have tried to distance themselves from Pogba altogether, as per La Parisien.
PSG have turned their full attention to Messi – with the six-time Ballon d’Or winner revealing that the Qatari-owned club could be a possible destination during his final press conference at Barcelona.
The former Barcelona captain is yet to agree terms with PSG, but he is said to studying their most recent offer intensely.
They have offered the 34-year-old a two-year contract worth £25million a year after tax, according to Sky Sports.
Should Messi accept the offer, PSG will drop their interest in acquiring Pogba's services this summer.
