Liverpool are plan to make a staggering £200m offer for Paris Saint-Germain ace Kylian Mbappe in a deal which would see Sadio Mane head in the opposite direction as a makeweight.
The Reds are growing increasingly concerned over Mane's reluctance to put pen to paper on a contract extension that has been on the table for the past nine months.
Jurgen Klopp's anxiety over the situation is ramping up and thoughts at the club have turned to finding alternative solutions to the problem.
And now The Sun claim that one potential option that Liverpool are considering is to offer the Senegal star plus £200m in cash to PSG in return for Mbappe.
Mane’s current deal runs until 2023 but Liverpool are keen to tie him down with Real Madrid and PSG keen on the forward.
Both European giants are believed to be interested in signing him, and could potentially make a huge bid this summer due to the lack of Financial Fair Play restrictions.
And if the Senegalese star refuses to sign the new contract, which would see him level with Virgil van Dijk as the club's top earner on £220,000-per-week, the Reds would look to offload him.
