Inter Milan’s outgoing striker Romelu Lukaku will undergo medical today (Sunday) as he looks to join Chelsea for a second time.
Lukaku is ready to fill a void left by Olivier Giroud and give his former club a consistent goal threat.
The Athletic claim that the 28-year-old will undergo a medical on Sunday ahead of a £97.5m move.
Chelsea have agreed a club-record move for the former Everton and Manchester United forward, who is expected to sign a five-year deal at the club with a contract worth around £195,000-a-week after tax.
That is set to make Lukaku the highest-paid player at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea, determined to get the finer details agreed by Sunday so he can feature in their league opener next weekend.

Manchester United could yet pocket around £3million for clauses in the deal that took him to Italy, with Lukaku said to be willing to join his former club despite being happy on the continent.
