Manchester City have been heavily linked with a new No.9 after all-time top goalscorer Sergio Aguero left for Barcelona.
And now Tottenham star Harry Kane has been their number one target, with talk of a potential £150m deal this summer.
Pep Guardiola's side are however still without a new striker in their squad as Spurs refuse to do business for their star man.
According to the Racing Post, former Man City defender Danny Mills opined that City have been targeting the wrong man for the role, claiming Norwegian hitman Erling Haaland is a better fit.
“I'm not sure Harry Kane suits Manchester City with the way that they play,” he said.
“He's going to score goals, but the way that Guardiola wants to play with the high press and the energy, that's not Kane's game.
“Kane can play the false nine very well, but if you want a player that can go out and do everything then it's Haaland.
“He's absolutely outstanding and he's a lot younger, so you'll get your buy back.

“Will City go out and spend that amount of money for Kane? I’m not so sure when Haaland is a cheaper and better option in a year’s time.”
