Man City Target Crystal Palace Goalkeeper Vicente Guaita

Manchester City are plotting a move for Crystal Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita if Claudio Bravo departs the club next summer.

Guaita has been one of Crystal Palace's most impressive performers this season in a side that have the fourth-best defence behind, Liverpool, Leicester and Sheffield United.

And AS in Spain are reporting that his displays have caught the eye of City and Pep Guardiola.

The publication says that the City boss may have to search for a new No 2 next year with current deputy Bravo considering his long-term future.

Guardiola’s side have conceded 20 goals in the league this season – the same amount as Palace – but have endured an underwhelming season so far.

City are in third place, a point behind Leicester and 11 behind leaders Liverpool, who have played a matchless.

And reports last week said that Guardiola wants major changes at the club next year as he looks to cut the gap on Liverpool and return City to the summit of the Premier League standings.
