Man United Confirm Raphael Varane Transfer Is Done

Manchester United have announced the signing of Raphael Varane and is set to undergo a medical to finally complete his £43million transfer.

According to Manchester Evening News, all parties signed an agreement for the transfer earlier on Tuesday to grant the France international permission to have a medical.

The £43million deal may not be completed for a week as the 28-year-old Varane will have to quarantine when he arrives in Manchester.

In a statement, United said: “Manchester United is delighted to announce the club has reached agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of French international defender and World Cup winner, Raphaël Varane, subject to a medical and to player terms being finalised.”

United had on Monday agreed personal terms and reached an agreement with Madrid.

United and Madrid settled on the fee on Monday morning for a deal that comprises of add-ons.

Real Madrid paid the solidarity payment to Varane's former club, Lens, which subsidised United's overall fee.
