Manchester United fans have asked that the club sign former Super Eagles star Odion Ighalo on a permanent deal when his loan expires.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already hinted that United could complete a permanent swoop for the former Watford striker if his loan continues to fare well.
And United fans would appear to be overwhelmingly in favour.
In response to a MEN Sport poll that asked: “Should Manchester United sign Odion Ighalo on a permanent deal in the summer?” more than 80 per cent said ‘yes'.
An 82.7 per cent share voted ‘yes' and only 17.3 per cent voted ‘no'.
Solskjaer has lavished the Nigerian with praise in recent weeks, with Ighalo scoring a fine goal to open the scoring in United's 5-0 Europa League victory over LASK.
“Odion has done really well since he came in and he’s enjoying himself,” the Norwegian said.
“And he will improve and get better but he has qualities we saw in him and we needed and we will still need those qualities for next season, so let’s see what we will do.
“He’s a goalscorer and a striker, he doesn't worry too much about all that nonsense; build-up play – that’s a joke, obviously.
