More Trouble For Luis Suarez As A Man Utd Transfer Clause In Barcelona Contract Has Emerged

Luis Suarez is pushing to leave Barcelona after being deemed surplus to requirements to the Spanish giants.

And Manchester United are one of several clubs Suarez cannot join for free as part of an agreement with the Catalonia club.

Barca withhold the right to let the 33-year-old leave the club on a free transfer throughout the remainder of his contract, permitting he does not join one of several highlighted clubs.

That saw Suarez begin the search for a new club with several offers on the table.

Inter Miami and Ajax were among those keen and there was strong interest from Juventus who were closing in on the forward before the deal hit a snag.

Atletico are now named among the list of clubs that cannot sign Suarez on a free transfer despite being a direct rival.

Suarez was willing to give up a large percentage of money which he is owed by Barcelona in order to join Atletico.
