Napoli has finally unveiled Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen on a five-year deal, according to Daily Mail.
The former Wolfsburg striker linked up with the Serie A side from Lille, a French Ligue 1 club, for a deal worth £74 million.
Aurelio De Laurentiis, Napoli president, announced Osimhen’s arrival to the club on his Twitter page on Friday afternoon.
The Serie A side also welcomed the 21-year-old striker in a statement on its official website.
“SSC Napoli are delighted to announce the signing of Victor Osimhen from Lille on a permanent transfer,” the statement read.
Osimhen is seen by the Gennaro Gattuso side as a capable replacement for Arkadiusz Milik, a Poland striker, who has been linked with a move to Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.
It is believed that Osimhen will wear jersey number 9, which has been donned by some of the club’s former greats including Gonzalo Higuaín, Gianfranco Zola, Daniel Fonseca, Nicola Amoruso and Simone Verdi.
