Matchday 10 NPFL predictions

Plateau United vs Rivers United โ€“ Saturday, 25/11/23

After a hardfought 2-1 win over Abia Warriors at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on matchday 9, Rivers United will travel to Jos to face Plateau United who lost to Doma United last week.

Prediction: Home win

Remo Stars vs Doma United โ€“ Saturday, 25/11/23

This is arguably the biggest game this weekend as two of the top four NPFL teams on the league table battle it out.

Doma United currently top the log, they will travel to Ikenne to face Remo Stars on Saturday in a heavyweight clash.

While the Sky Blue Stars have been the most scoring side in the league this season, Doma have kept seven clean sheets in 10 games.

Prediction: Both teams to score

Heartland vs Enyimba โ€“ Sunday, 26/11/23

Following their promotion back to the NPFL, Heartland FC and Enyimba FC will renew their rivalry in this Oriental Derby at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri on Saturday.

There will be fireworks from both teams on and off the field of play. However, the Elephant's recent win over Bendel Insurance puts this NPFL prediction for today in Enyimba's favour to avoid a defeat.

Prediction: Enyimba win or draw

Kano Pillars vs Bendel Insurance โ€“ Sunday, 26/11/23

Bendel Insurance will visit Kano to play the Sai Masu Gida at their fortress.

The Benin Arsenal lost their rescheduled Week 1 fixture against Enyimba on Wednesday evening at Aba and will face fatigue to compete favourably with Kano Pillars after travelling far again.

Prediction: Kano Pillars win

Lobi Stars vs Shooting Stars โ€“ Sunday, 26/11/23

Two teams that participated in last seasonโ€™s Super Six playoffs will battle it out on Sunday.

Ranked 2nd ahead of this game, Lobi Stars have won all their home games so far this season, and will look to continue their impressive home form in this clash with Shooting Stars.

Prediction: Lobi Stars to win

Abia Warriors vs Enugu Rangers โ€“ Sunday, 26/11/23

Enugu Rangers will visit the Umuahia Township Stadium, Umuahia on Sunday evening, hoping to end their back-to-back league draws. On the other hand, Abia Warriors will look to bounce back from their recent loss to Rivers United. We favour the home side in our NPFL predictions for today.

Prediction: Abia Warriors to win

Niger Tornadoes vs Akwa United โ€“ Sunday, 26/11/23

Niger Tornadoes will have a difficult challenge as they face another team going through a rough patch. Both teams are in the relegation zone making this one a tricky game to predict.

Tornadoes are winless in their last five games, with three losses and two draws in that stretch, but are unbeaten in their last four home games.

Prediction: Home win

Sunshine Stars vs Sporting Lagos โ€“ Sunday, 26/11/23

A Western derby unfolds at the Akure Township Stadium on Sunday.

Newly promoted Sporting Lagos will arrive in Akure on the back of a disappointing draw with Heartland at home, while Edith Agoye's Sunshine Stars earned a deserved draw away at Bayelsa United.

Prediction: Both teams to score

Kwara United vs Gombe United โ€“ Sunday, 26/11/23

Kwara United played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Bendel Insurance in their last league outing.

Buoyed by that impressive away draw, Kabiru Dogo's men will be eager to pick up maximum points against Gombe United with our NPFL predictions backing this outcome.

Prediction: Slim win for Kwara United

Katsina United vs Bayelsa United โ€“ Sunday, 26/11/23

Our last NPFL prediction for Sunday's NPFL fixtures will be the battle involving Katsina United and Bayelsa United at the Mohammed Dikko Stadium in Katsina.

Having recorded the biggest win yet in the league on the opening day, the visitors have struggled since then. But like their opponents this weekend, Bayelsa United have gone unbeaten in their last two games which both ended in stalemates.

Prediction: Draw
