Manchester United have confirmed new signing Jadon Sancho shirt number, after joining the club on a five-year deal.
The 21-year-old completed his move from Borussia Dortmund earlier today and will be with the Reds until June 2026, with the option for a further year.
And after endless speculation as to which United squad number the England international will wear the no.25 shirt. as per manutd.com
The last wearer of Sancho's new shirt was Odion Ighalo, who enjoyed a loan spell with the club between 2020-21.
Sancho has the opportunity to enshrine no.25 as his number – perhaps in the same way Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is forever associated with no.20, and Paul Scholes with no.18.
The South Londoner will become the 10th Red to wear it since the Premier League introduced squad numbers at the start of the 1993/94 campaign, following Ighalo, Valencia, Nick Powell, Danny Simpson, David Jones, Quinton Fortune, Jordi Cruyff, Kevin Pilkington and Gary Walsh.
