Kylian Mbappe may well be linked with a move to Liverpool and Real Madrid but PSG have now put a staggering contract offer on the table to keep him in the French capital.
And the France World Cup winner, according to French publication L’Equipe, is considering signing the new deal with PSG worth a whopping £600,0000 a week.
The new offer would put him in the same pay bracket as team-mate Neymar.
The news has devastated both Liverpool and Madrid with the latter thought to be ready to break the bank for him this summer.
Mbappe’s current contract runs until 2022 but the Ligue 1 champions are keen to get him tied down to a new deal to stop any suitors attempting to poach him this summer.
And while Reds fans would no doubt love to see their side continue to grow by recruiting the Frenchman, former player John Barnes reckons Roberto Firmino offers the team more.
“I think he is the most important forward in what he gives the team,” Barnes said of Firmino.
