Raheem Sterling Speaks Of A Transfer To Real Madrid

Manchester City star Raheem Sterling has given a hint of a possible Real Madrid transfer, claiming that Zinedine Zidane's side are a “fantastic club”, ahead of their Champions League clash at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday.

But, the England international, who still has three years left on his current contract confirmed his commitment to City, and he intends to honour his contract.

Real Madrid were hoping that City’s ban from the Champions League would tempt Sterling to quit the Etihad Stadium.

But, his agent has shut down transfer links to the Spanish capital, insisting that Sterling has no intention of leaving the Etihad Stadium.

The player has admitted that nobody knows what the future holds.

“It’s one of those things,” Sterling told AS. “Right now I’m at City and I’m really happy. But I say Real Madrid are a fantastic club.

“But, at the same time, I have a contract with City now and I have to respect this. But it’s a fantastic club.”

Here’s what he said about Real Madrid’s reported interest in him, Sterling added: “It’s something that you see all the time, but I’m a City player and I’m enjoying it at the moment, even if things haven’t gone quite to plan in the league.

The England international was asked about whether he could see himself playing for Real Madrid one day.

“No-one knows what the future will hold. I am a player and I am always open to challenges.
