Real Madrid Reduce Gareth Bale Transfer Price To Ease Deal For Man Utd

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale could well be on his way to joining Manchester United as Los Blancos has set a low transfer fee for the Wales international.

Zinedine Zidane doesn’t rate Bale and is eager to get the former Tottenham star off the wage bill.

And according to Mundo Deportivo, the La Liga giants are ready to offload Bale for as little as £18m.

That’s partly because of his huge salary, with the 31-year-old earning roughly £15million a year in the Spanish capital.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side would likely not match Bale’s current wages.

But, if he agreed to take a pay cut, the prospect of him moving to Old Trafford isn’t unfeasible.

Bale recently admitted he was open to a move back to the Premier League, saying: “If those options arise (interest from Premier League clubs) it is something I'd look at for sure.

“We'll see what happens, we have plenty of time in this transfer window and a couple of others as well. Time will tell but mainly I think the reason is that the decision is in Real Madrid's hands.’’
