Real Madrid Send Dani Ceballos Asking Price To Arsenal

Real Madrid want to cash in on Arsenal loanee Dani Ceballos, since the Gunners are keen on keeping him at the Emirates.

After back-to-back losses against Manchester City and Brighton, Arteta switched to a back five and installed Ceballos as part of a midfield pairing with former captain Granit Xhaka.

Thus, Arsenal are hoping to sign him permanently, with Spanish outlet Marca reporting he will be allowed to leave for a €25million (£22.6m) fee.

The report claims he is still highly rated by club chiefs and, with fellow La Liga sides Valencia and Real Betis also interested in his services, Real are in a strong negotiating position.

Arteta recently hinted the club were negotiating with Real to keep Ceballos at the club in his post-match press conference following the 1-1 draw with Leicester City.

“I am really happy with him, I think it is something that the club has to go a little bit further with Real Madrid on,” Arteta said.

“At the moment he is playing very well, I am really happy with him and he is a big talent and still has a lot of things to improve.”

He has also urged the club to invest in signings like Ceballos or risk Arsenal continuing to miss out on Champions League.
