Rio Ferdinand Informs Ole of The Best And Only Replacement For David De Gea

Rio Ferdinand believes the chance of a Manchester United transfer happening is unlikely saying the ‘only’ possible replacement for David De Gea is Jan Oblak.

But the former Manchester United defender doesn’t see the Atletico Madrid star being sold this summer and has urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to stick with the Spaniard.

De Gea was once again making headlines for the wrong reasons at the weekend after he cost his side a place in the FA Cup final.

And Ferdinand says it’s unrealistic to think United can just go and sign one of the world’s best in Oblak.

He told BT Sport: “He [De Gea] has had a bad spell, confidence is low, but does that mean you go out and get rid of him? Who are you gonna get?

“Who is out there who is actually able to be bought right now and who is going to be a world-class goalkeeper right now at Manchester United?

“The only one I see is Oblak, but can you get him out of Atletico Madrid? And if you do how much are you going to have to spend?

“An obscene amount of money. I say stick with him [De Gea], he has earned that right to be stuck with.”
