Salary Problems To Stop N’Golo Kante’s Inter Milan Transfer

The wages of Chelsea star N'Golo Kante could cause Inter Milan's pursuit of the 29-year-old to be scuppered.

According to Italian outlet Sport Mediaset, the Frenchman would be open to the move – as they claim he sees his time at Stamford Bridge coming to a close.

A problem in the way, however, would be N’Golo Kante’s salary, they claim.

The 2018 World Cup winner is believed to earn around £150,000-a-week in West London – and is still contracted until 2023.

They go on to say that Boss Antonio Conte will have trouble convincing Inter's board to splash out that kind of salary on his key target.

While few would question Kante's quality, the popular 5ft 6in midfielder has struggled with persistent injury woes this season, featuring in just 27 of the Blues' 50 games in all competitions this term.

Conte, 50, meanwhile, has been able to recruit a number of players since joining Inter a year ago.
