Simy Nwankwo Emerges Transfer Target For Serie B Side

Serie B side Monza have shown interest in snapping up Super Eagles star Simy Nwankwo, according to reports from Calciomercato per Football Italia.

Monza missed out on promotion to the top-flight, but they are already looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season.

And Simy is a man in demand after his record-breaking season with now relegated Crotone in the Italian Serie A.

The Nigerian international scored 20 league goals to become the first African player to reach that mark since Samuel Eto’o scored 21 for Inter Milan in the 2010/2011 season.

Italian clubs, Sampdoria and Genoa are among the sides interested in his services.

However, it appears Monza are now in the pole position to sign him.
