In the latest Super Eagles news surrounding the players, it has been reported that Kelechi Iheanacho is on the radar of Internazionale as they look to strengthen their squad in the summer.
Leicester City are currently battling relegation in the Premier League and a drop to the EFL Championship could see them lose a number of their key assets, including Nigeria Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho.
The former Manchester City man is currently injured and is expected to return for the last game of the season if he does not suffer any relapses in recovery.
Iheanacho coming to the end of his time at Leicester City
Iheanacho, who will be participating in his third international tournament for Nigeria if he should be included in José Peseiro's AFCON 2023 squad, has been with Leicester City since the 2017/18 season.
He is currently the club's second highest active goalscorer behind the evergreen Jamie Vardy. He is also the joint fourth highest goal-scoring Nigerian in the Premier League alongside Shola Ameobi and behind Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Nwankwo Kanu and Efan Ekoku.
Kelechi Iheanacho has now scored 55 goals for Leicester City. Jamie Vardy (168) is the only active Leicester player with more.

As a forward, he offers a lot to a team's attack. He has an incredible ability to come clutch for teams, a trait he has shown all through his developmental years at Manchester City and with the Nigerian national football team age-grade sides.
Leicester have shown little appreciation for that trait and many have called for him to move on from the King Power Stadium. With relegation a possibility, the move could finally happen and there is already a destination for the 26-year-old.
The forward could have already played his last game for the Foxes as a report from Inter Live claims that he is being looked at as a possible summer signing for the Nerazzurri come June.
Iheanacho a cut price option for Inter
The report claims that Inter are looking for a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who they have decided not to sign permanently after the season comes to an end. They are also preparing for life after Edin Dzeko, their 37-year-old striker who does not have much time left at the top of the game.

Should Iheanacho move to the San Siro, he will fill Lukaku's spot and play alongside Lautaro Martinez in Inter's two-striker setup. This would see “Senior Man” play in his best position as he performs best when he is playing the supporting striker role.
Departing Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino and Marcus Thurman are also options for the Nerazzurri alongside Iheanacho.
Meanwhile, Football Insider claims that Inter will consider selling Lautaro Martinez to raise transfer funds for all their targets in the summer.
Martinez is reportedly one of the options that Manchester United are looking at in the summer if they fail to bring in Harry Kane. Inter value the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner at £70 million, which will cost a lot less than Kane and other transfer targets.
This could see Iheanacho become the Serie A giants' main striker if he makes the switch to Italy. He will have the opportunity to play in a league with fellow Super Eagles stars Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Cyriel Dessers.
Iheanacho's transfer to Italy will be a cut-price deal of €10 million because he will have only one year left on his contract at the end of the season.
