Super Eagles star boy Victor Osimhen finally joined Napoli on a five-year deal on Friday with more details concerning the move now revealed.
Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentis revealed the Italian club decided to splash the cash on the Nigerian striker because Genaro Gattuso was keen on him.
In what was one of the summer’s most enthralling transfer, De Laurentis revealed that the Gli Azzuri paid 80m euros including add ons for Osimhen’s services- a fee that made him the fifth most expensive signing in Serie A’s history.
The Super Eagles star will also earn a whopping salary of 4.5m euros (2.35 billion naira) in a year, according to De Laurentis.
Speaking in an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss per Manu Lonjon, De Laurentis said: “Gattuso was very keen on the arrival of Osimhen. We will pay around 80M to Lille and between 4 and 4.5M per season to the player.”
