The Two More Players Solskjaer Wants To Sign After Jadon Sancho Have Been Revealed

Manchester United have made their first signing of the window earlier this week, with Donny van de Beek arriving from Ajax for £40million.

And now boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign two defenders as well as completing a deal for Jadon Sancho this summer, according to transfer expert Duncan Castles

The England star remains a top target for United but Borussia Dortmund's £108million asking price has, so far, put the Old Trafford club off.

Solskjaer wants to strengthen on the right wing and the England international is the club's priority target in that position.

But Castles says a left-back and central defender is also on the agenda for the Norwegian boss.

Castles said on the Transfer Window podcast: “[Solskjaer] had identified far in advance a desire to improve, certainly on the right wing and this long pursuit of Jadon Sancho, which Manchester United believed they had almost there a few weeks ago but have failed to complete to this stage.

“[They] have been prioritising in terms of that position on right wing, concentrating their efforts on getting Sancho done rather than moving to alternative potential targets such as Ousmane Dembele who they've had preliminary conversations about.

“He would like to strengthen at left-back, he would like a left-footed centre-back who's capable of playing the ball out of the back to improve his defensive options.
