Thiago Alcantara Speaks On Playing For Liverpool Under Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool transfer target Thiago Alcantara has revealed the excitement he has about the prospect of playing under Jurgen Klopp, reports say.

Klopp wants to sign the Bayern Munich star and is putting pressure on the Liverpool hierarchy to get a deal for Alcantara over the line.

And the Daily Mail say the Spain international is ‘very keen’ to come and work under Klopp.

The problem is, though, that Bayern are currently unwilling to budge on their transfer demands.

Thiago will become a free agent in 12 months’ time.

And the report adds that, should Georginio Wijnaldum remain at Anfield instead of joining Barcelona this summer, then Liverpool may wait another year before bringing the former Barcelona star to Merseyside.

Meanwhile, speaking recently, Thiago admitted that his move away from Bayern wasn’t set in stone – despite the Bundesliga giants practically saying otherwise.

“I have not said at any time that I am leaving,” he said.

“Every year you put me in a different team.

“I am on the sidelines, my future is tomorrow’s game right now. I neither care nor am I interested in what I know I talked.”

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher feels the clamour for the Reds to sign Thiago is ‘disrespectful’ to their current midfielders, saying on Saturday: “Liverpool have got three or four players in the squad they are looking to move on.’’
