Thomas Partey is set to become Arsenal's sixth signing of the summer.
All that remains for the Atletico Madrid midfielder to seal his move to the Emirates is for him to pass his medical and finalise personal terms.
With Partey's arrival at the Emirates seemingly imminent, attention has turned to what shirt number the Ghana international will wear at the Emirates.
The 27-year-old currently occupies the No.5 shirt for Atleti and his country.
And he could very well end up being given the same number at Arsenal.
That's because Italian giants Roma are reportedly weighing up a last-gasp bid for Arsenal's current No.5, Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
According to reports, the Serie A giants have identified the Greece international as an alternative to Manchester United defender Chris Smalling.
Should Sokratis end up leaving the north Londoners, that would pave the way for Partey to wear the No.5 shirt.
He could, however, be handed the No.29 shirt, No.18, 26 and 27 shirts which are all available for him to take should he opt for a different number.
