Not only is the Super Eagles and Napoli striker one of the best players in the League, he is also one of the most popular names there. Being a popular name for your club in the positive sense comes with it's perks. You become the face of the team and the man at the forefront of all things commercial.
Advertisements will feature such players at the centerpiece and most importantly their shirts will be among, if not the highest selling at the club.
Osimhen leading the way for Napoli off the pitch as well
ItalianFootballTV published a tweet revealing clubs and the highest selling jerseys they have in the Italian top flight which showed how popular these players are.

On that list were great players who unsurprisingly made the list like Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez, Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi, AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, AS Roma’s Paulo Dybala, and Napoli’s very own, Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen’s team are filled with fan favorites which is no surprise because they are Serie A champions but the shirt sales shows that he is the most beloved of the lot.
Last season, Osimhen cemented his status as the most beloved player on the Napoli squad with 26 league goals as he helped them win their first Serie A title in over three decades.
Last season, the 24-year-old not only showed his goal scoring prowess but he also displayed desire, grit, leadership and endeavor on and off the pitch and his efforts were recognized by the Gil Azzurri fans who fell in love with the Nigerian striker.
Throughout the season, both the young and the old would wear his jersey and his signature mask on their faces as a symbol of their love for their frontman.
Osimhen’s loyalty to the club cannot be disputed
Despite the links out of the club, Osimhen has expressed his love for the club first and his intention to stay with the Italian Champions. When asked about his future earlier this summer, he said that his future is in the hands of Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis.
“I don’t know, the President has to decide that. I love the people of Napoli, they have shown me so much love. For me, I don’t mind, the President decides and I will just go with the flow,” he told DAZN
During their run to the Serie A title, Napoli once again showed his love and appreciation for the club that gave him the opportunity to become a champion for the first time in his career.
“It was tough for me to make my dream come true of becoming a professional football player and now [I am] about to win [a trophy] for the first time. I’m at a great club and my career is growing constantly. I am already at one of the biggest clubs and I could not ask for more. Forza Napoli always!”
At Napoli, he became the highest scoring African player in Serie A history and has begun the 2023/2024 season with three goals in two games already. Barring any injury, the striker could be in for another historic season at his beloved club which will mean more shirt sales and popularity.
