Victor Osimhen has been awarded the Fans' Player of the Year for the second successive season at the EaglesTracker Award (ETA) ceremony that entered its grand finale (day 3) on Wednesday, June 28 2023. The Super Eagles and Napoli forward was adjudged by Nigerian fans to have had the best season amongst Nigerian players outside the country in the 2022/23 season.
Loved by the fans, and rightfully so.

Victor Osimhen enjoyed the best season of his football career, as his goals helped Napoli to secure the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years. The Super Eagles hitman in 39 appearances last season, scored 31 goals and recorded 5 assists to his name.

On the Second Day of the Eagles Tracker Award ceremony, the Serie A current Best Striker was awarded the Nigerian Forward of the Season to celebrate the Lagos-born goalscorer for his successive season with the Italian champions.
The Golden Boot Award
We've mentioned before that Osimhen scored 31 goals and assisted his teammates in 5 occasions in his 39 appearances across all competitions for Napoli last season. This scoring prowess ensured that the Nigerian superstar set a new African record in the Italian Serie A with his 26 goals return in the 2022/23 season; as a result, he was voted the Best Striker in the league and also won the topscorer award. ETA on recognizing his achievements for Napoli, awarded him the Golden Boot award
