Watford have sacked their Coach, Xisco Munoz after less than 10 months in charge of the club. It came as a surprise as the Hornets are sitting comfortably in the League Standings from Watford's point of view.
They are placed 15th on the log while compared to sides like Norwich City and Newcastle United who are placed at the bottom of the table.
The sacking of Watford's boss Munoz after series of good outings they've had in the Premier League was uncalled for.
And his exit couldn't only be based on the teams ‘performance as it were but the internal issue may have resonated somewhere in the club.
The scenario at Watford may affect the teams' progress in the season with reports expecting Italian manager Claudio Ranieri to be duly appointed soonest.
The move to get a new boss may affect certain players while the future of Nigeria's trio of Oghenekaro Etebo, Emmanuel Dennis, and Willian Troost-Ekong could be on the line.
Most Coaches come into club sides and change the whole system leaving out certain players to suffer in the squad with limited game time.
With Etebo injured and seemingly out of action in the 2021 Calendar, he may be a forgotten man in the Watford ranks. While we hope that Nigeria's skipper Willian Troost-Ekong and Emmanuel Dennis would not be a castaway by the new boss.
Signing for the club was never the best for a player of Etebo's quality while Dennis's move to the Vicarage Road is a welcome development.
Etebo should have gotten a club for himself in a bigger team while Dennis needed the help of a Premier League club to bring his career back to prominence.
Dennis is destined for the top via his quality as a player but Watford offers him the platform to reach out to Nigeria's boss Gernot Rohr in terms of the conviction in selecting him in the Super Eagles.
Troost-Ekong may have sealed a first-team place at the club but he must dream big ahead in his career especially with the possible takeover of Claudio Ranieri as the manager of the club.
In all, the Watford boss have not really done badly in terms of their performance this season more as they just got promoted to the Premier League.
But the sacking of Munoz could tell on the entire team with hopes that the manager coming in at the club will get the best of his players with a view of the Nigerian trio at Watford Football Club.
