West Ham United To Lure Nigeria’s Josh Maja With £10m Bid

Super Eagles star Josh Maja is reportedly being lined up by West Ham United for a summer move.

The Bordeaux striker has 16 goals to his credit in 30 appearances for Sunderland in the first half of the 2018-19 campaign before joining Bordeaux in the latter stages of the 2019 January transfer window.

Maja has impressed during his time in France, finding the back of the net on nine occasions in 31 appearances, including eight goals in 24 appearances during the 2019-20 campaign.

The 21-year-old has a contract with Les Girondins until the summer of 2023, but according to The Sun, Maja is eyeing a return to England during this summer's transfer window.

The report claims that West Ham, in addition to Crystal Palace, are closely watching developments with the view to potentially submitting an offer for the London-born attacker in the region of £10m.

Sunderland were forced into selling the centre-forward for a cut-price fee last year as Maja had entered the final six months of his contract at the Stadium of Light.
