Willian To Move To Arsenal, Rejects Chelsea Contract Extension Again

Willian has refused to sign another contract offer from Chelsea and now looks set to join Arsenal, according to reports.

The Brazilian winger is now out of contract at Stamford Bridge, and will be available on a free transfer to interested parties.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the west London club offered him a two-year extension, having already been knocked back once.

But Willian and his representatives turned down the deal, meaning he will look elsewhere.

Nicolo Schira claims that Arsenal look set to be his next destination, and that his agent Kia Joorabchian is in advanced talks with sporting director Edu.

Willian is understood to be keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium, and Arsenal have reportedly made an approach for the Brazil international.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard admitted after losing the cup final that the power was in Willian’s hands when it came down to his future.

“It is his decision, I haven’t got that answer,” Lampard said. “I know the situation at the club’s end. I have a great relationship with Willian, but I don’t actually know what the decision is.’’
