Porto left-back Alex Telles has refused to address talks of him joining Manchester United, insisting his future is in the hands of his representatives.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are thought to be close to signing Telles after missing out on Sergio Reguilon to Tottenham.
Speaking after Porto’s win over Braga on Saturday, the player had little to say on the rumours.
He told Sport TV: “I’m a guy who focuses a lot on work, people believe what they want, say what they want in the newspapers, but the most important thing is to be focused on my work.
“You know that and so do my teammates, whatever happens, I’m focused on the club, I’m here, I’m playing.
“I have people who work for me, I just have to focus on what my job is. If I knew anything, I wouldn’t need to have people working for me.
“I have people who take care of that and I have to focus on my work.”
Telles would provide competition for Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams, with the Red Devils concerned about Shaw’s repeated injury struggles.
