Arsenal have confirmed Ben White’s squad number after completing £50m move from Brighton.
The Gunners officially announced the signing of the England centre-back on Friday in a deal believed to be worth £50million.
White has signed a long-term contract at Emirates Stadium understood to be five years and will help bolster a defensive unit that was weakened by the departure of David Luiz following the expiration of his deal in June.
As for his Arsenal shirt, White has received the no4 jersey – most notably worn by legendary former captain Patrick Vieira, as well as the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Per Mertesacker.
It was also recently worn by midfielder Mohamed Elneny and French defender William Saliba, with the latter having being loaned out to Marseille earlier in July.
