The Nigeria National League is the league system of Nigerian football where teams from all across the country come to compete for a chance at immortality. It is made up of three divisions which are the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), the Nigeria National League (NNL) and the Nigeria Nationwide League (NWL).
The NNL and NWL are further broken down into divisions which accept the various amateur teams and academies who compete in regional tournaments affiliated to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). Below is a list of all the clubs in Nigeria that compete for a spot in the NPFL.

There are more than 300 teams operating in Nigeria today at all levels. However, most are still operating on an academy licence and some others are still in the process of sealing licences to be recognised as official football clubs in the country.

NPFL teams
The NPFL is the top flight of Nigerian League Football. Consisting of 20 teams, it is played in two groups of 10 which culminates in a Super 6 tournament to determine the champions of the season.
Enyimba FC is the reigning champion, having won their ninth title in the 2022/23 season to extend their lead as Nigeria's most successful team in history. The NPFL teams that competed in the just-concluded season are below.

Teams in the NNL
The NNL is the second tier of the Nigeria league system. Since 2023, it has been divided into two tiers: North and South. 42 teams compete in both tiers for the chance to be promoted into the NPFL. The teams that will be participating in the 2023 NNL season are as follows.

Teams in the Nigeria Nationwide League
There are 132 teams participating in the Nigeria Nationwide League which is divided into two leagues: The Nigeria Nationwide League and the Nigeria Amateur League. This is where many of the academy teams compete and this is the league where the grassroot football clubs work towards as they build credibility for the NPFL.
