EPL clubs informed what they must do to sign Aribo

Charlie Adam believes it will take a big-money transfer for Aribo to leave the Ibrox this season.

The midfielder has been in impressive form for his club.

The 2021/22 season has seen several Nigerians ply their trade in the Premier League, and the number may swell in the coming season. Premiership teams have started showing interest in Nigerian players playing outside England.

Some Nigerian players playing in the Premier League this season include Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, who have been in the Premier League for a few seasons. Others are Michael Olise, Nathan Tella (Southampton), Alex Iwobi (Everton), Frank Onyeka (Brentford), Troost Ekong and Emmanuel Dennis (Watford).

Emmanuel Dennis has been a revelation in the Premier League. Only Mohamed Salah has been in more goal involvements than the Nigerian striker. The powerful forward proves that Nigerian players are worth taking the risk on. He currently sits fourth on the Premier League top scorers chart with seven goals, and he has five assists to his name.

Another Nigerian is attracting interest from Premier League clubs for his performances. Joe Aribo has had a few clubs turn their heads and take notice of him, suggesting that it won’t be long before the midfielder heads out to England.

Premier League move for Aribo on the cards?

Joe Aribo has posted some incredible performances this season. It has made him the subject of interest from England.

Former Liverpool star Che Adams has informed clubs interested in snapping up the midfielder they should make sure they have deep pockets as Aribo would not come cheap. Adams said they must be ready to stump up big money to land the Aribo.

Some of the clubs that have been unable to keep their gaze off the midfielder include Watford, Brentford and Crystal Palace. They are all monitoring the situation of the Rangers midfielder.

The interest in Aribo received a boost by the player’s interest in trying something new. He has a contract expiring in 2023, but the Nigerian midfielder seems not interested in extending his stay at Rangers beyond his current deal. The player has made his preference known, and Rangers FC might have to sell him or risk losing him on a free in a year.

An impressive Aribo

Over the years, Joe Aribo has steadily improved, and it is little wonder that several clubs have taken notice and are keen to acquire his services.

Charlie Adams is impressed by the midfielder, even more by the display of the Super Eagles player after he came on against Lyon. Aribo was able to help his side to a 1-1 draw against the French side on Thursday evening and help them qualify for the next round in the Europa League.

Aribo could have sealed all three points for Rangers FC in the final minutes of the game, but his tame shot did him in.

Adam told BBC that Joe Aribo was the game changer and it would take big money to prise him away from Rangers.

Rangers bagged the midfielder from Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2019.
