The maiden event of the Lagos City Cup will start on Saturday, 1 July 2023, and go on for four days at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos.
The inaugural tournament is a talent hunt event organized by Lagos-based club Ikorodu City FC along with Barcelona and Atletic Sant Just, with the aim of scouting players good enough for the Spanish league.
Barcelona scouts will be available to watch the tournament, hoping to scout a few good players based on their performances in the cup competition. Players will also be assessed by the representatives of Atletic Sant Just, who with Barcelona, co-organised this talent-hunting tournament.
