Man City To Launch £100m Double Raid To Land Two Midfielders In January

Manchester City could launch a £100m double raid to land two midfielders as they look to wrest the Premier League title from reigning champions, Liverpool.

Both Douglas Luiz and Jack Grealish have been ever-present as Aston Villa have surged to sixth in the table following an impressive start to the season.

Dean Smith's side have won five of their seven league games, including victories over Liverpool, Leicester and Arsenal.

Grealish has been in superb form, scoring five goals and posting six assists, and also impressed when he started for England in their 3-0 win over the Republic of Ireland on Thursday.

City have identified the 25-year-old playmaker as the ideal addition to Guardiola's squad, and are set to swoop for the £70m-rated star.

But they are also considering cashing in on the buyback clause in Luiz's contract to take the Brazil midfielder back to the Etihad – knowing they can sign him without paying over the odds.

Whether they can land the pair in the January transfer window remains to be seen.
