Tottenham want to clear out some players during the winter transfer window as the club is keen on generating funds to sign new players.
Jose Mourinho and his recruitment team have been working on a plan to sign new players in January, but haven’t made a definitive plan or a target list.
However, a new central defender looks to be one of the targets as Spurs will look to offload Davinson Sanchez.
The Colombian international signed for Tottenham in a €45m deal from Ajax in 2017 and he had been a first-team regular under Mauricio Pochettino.
This season he has been axed from the first-team and he has now missed three match squads in a row.
Sanchez is reportedly not rated that highly by Mourinho and the defender could be transfer listed in January.
Other players who are expected to leave in January are Dele Alli and Danny Rose.
Alli has been dropped from the first team and has been sitting on the bench more than playing first team football.
Rose has not even been given a squad number at Tottenham this season and has been frozen out completely.
