Messi's immediate future has become the talk of football, with the Argentine superstar having told Barcelona he wants to leave after becoming frustrated with the club's lack of success.
And the Spanish publication says Messi's former Barca teammate Neymar and fellow Argentina international Di Maria have joined the charm offensive as well.
The report claims that both players have been in touch with their pal to convince him that his future lies at the Parc des Princes.
However, Marca also points out that Messi's preference is to switch to the Premier League and join City, where he would be reunited with his former Barca mentor Pep Guardiola.
Argentine journalist Veronica Brunati, cited by Live Soccer TV, has claimed that Messi has already agreed personal terms with City.
And French publication L'Équipe says Juventus are also in the running.
