With the departure of Lionel Messi and doubts over the future of Neymar, Paris Saint Germain have been left in a position where they need to look into the transfer market for reinforcements in attack. They have been linked with different forward players over the last month and now, they have set their sights on Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
The French champions are now going to pool their efforts into making the 24-year-old Napoli marksman their priority target as they feel like he is the ideal player who would dovetail well with star forward, Kylian Mbappe in attack.

Osimhen’s Brilliant Season has Attracted PSG and Other Top Clubs
It's no surprise that Osimhen is on the radar of some of the best clubs in Europe. Ever since his emergence at the FIFA U17 World Cup where he scored 10 goals and won the Golden Boot in 2015 (he still holds the record for the most goals in that tournament), the Nigerian was seen as a huge prospect in World football.
Eight years later, he has lived up to that potential with Napoli and he has achieved history with the club. He topped the Serie A scoring chats this season with 26 goals and was an instrumental figure in helping them win their first Scudetto in 33 years.
He also scored five goals in the UEFA Champions League to take his tally for the season to 31 in 38 matches as his side finished their European campaign as quarterfinalists.

With his contract expiring in 2025, Napoli value him at £130 million and will sell the Super Eagles forward if their valuation is met but they are also determined to renew his contract and keep him at the club.
The Italian Champions plan to offer him a new deal that would make him the highest paid Napoli player of all time. This new deal will see his teammates take strategic pay cuts in their contracts as and a release clause will be added to the contract.
When asked about his future, Osimhen seems to be cool about his situation and has revealed that his fate is in the hands of the Club President.
‘I don't know, the President has to decide that.
‘I love the people of Napoli, they have shown me so much love. For me, I don't mind, the president decides and I will just go with the flow.'
These were the words of the Nigerian when he was asked about his future in an interview with DAZN. Paris Saint-Germain are not the only big European club interested in Osimhen as Manchester United, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Chelsea are on the lookout for a new striker as well. These teams have identified the Nigerian as a player that can take them forward with his talents like PSG.
Chances are that there will be a bidding war for Osimhen this summer and PSG will not want to miss out on a key target.
