What Bet9ja gives new customers in October 2026

One welcome offer, for sports. Bet9ja's help centre lists a 100% bonus on a new customer's first deposit, up to ₦100,000. Deposit ₦5,000 and you should get ₦5,000 in bonus funds. Deposit ₦100,000 or more and the bonus stops at ₦100,000.

The weekly promotions page is a different story. When we opened it on 22 October, it was full of campaigns for existing players: a Champions League offer called UCL Express Delivery, a casino campaign with ₦2 billion in prizes, odds you can freeze, Bet Builder, early payout when your team takes the lead, and random BOOM rewards advertised at up to ₦1 billion. The welcome bonus itself was not on that page, which is why we went by the help centre.

Older guides, including an earlier version of this page, also mention a 50% casino bonus on the first deposit. We could not find it on Bet9ja's site this month, so we have left it out.

How the Bet9ja welcome bonus works

These are the terms as Bet9ja's bonus rules and recent Nigerian betting guides describe them. Bet9ja can change them at any time, so check the version shown in your account when the bonus lands.

• Only your first deposit counts, and it has to be at least ₦100.
• One bonus per person, household, phone number and payment card. Duplicate accounts are closed.
• You must wager the bonus 10 times before it turns into cash you can withdraw.
• Every bet that counts towards the rollover needs total odds of 3.00 or more.
• You have 30 days. Whatever is left after that is removed.
• Void bets, cashed-out bets and split column bets do not count.

Here is the arithmetic that most bonus pages skip. A ₦10,000 bonus means ₦100,000 of bets at odds of 3.00 or higher. The full ₦100,000 bonus means ₦1,000,000 of bets in a month, every one of them on a slip priced at 3.00 or more. At those odds you lose far more slips than you win.

So our advice is to claim the bonus on a first deposit you were going to make anyway, somewhere between ₦1,000 and ₦10,000 for most people, and treat any winnings from it as a bonus in the true sense. Chasing the ₦100,000 cap only makes sense if you were already planning to stake a million naira on Bet9ja this month. Most readers were not.

Insider tips before you deposit

• Deposit online. Bet9ja's published bonus rules say the welcome bonus only follows a first deposit made with one of its online payment methods. Customers who registered in a Bet9ja shop can still get it, but the qualifying deposit has to be online.
• Get your details right on day one. Bet9ja allows one bonus per person, phone number and card, so a second account opened to claim it again will be closed.
• Build slips that reach 3.00 without stretching. Two or three selections at around 1.50 to 1.80 each get you past 3.00. A ten-leg accumulator does too, but it rarely lands.
