Napoli vs Frosinone will kick off the 2023/24 Italian Serie A season on Saturday 19 August 2023.
Victor Osimhen will headline the Partenopei in their charge for a second-straight Scudetto, a feat no team except Juventus and Internazionale has achieved in the 2000s.
The newly-promoted team will play host to the 2022/23 Serie A champions and will be looking to make a statement to the rest of the league.
Meanwhile, we are expecting the first Osimhen goals this season from that game, according to our predictions.

Napoli vs Frosinone preview and team news
Stadio Benito Stirpe will host Napoli vs Frosinone, its first top-flight fixture in Italian football in more than four years.
It will be both the pleasure and the discomfort of the newly-promoted side to host Capocannoniere holder and 2023/24 predicted winner Osimhen alongside his teammates on Saturday.
It is one of two fixtures that will open the new Serie A season.

Frosinone are coming into the new season with low expectations. This means that a loss to Napoli will not be much of an issue for them. However, a heavy loss will only serve to solidify the notion that they will be relegated at the end of the season.
π¨π¨π¨ Kvaratskhelia will miss the first Serie A game against Frosinone tomorrow, as explained by Rudi Garcia :

The newly-promoted side have no big injuries but defender Sergio Kalaj and midfielder Karlo Lulic are the only minor doubts. They should make the matchday squad for Frosinone, however, but it is unlikely that they start in the Napoli vs Frosinone game.
Napoli, meanwhile, have to worry about Cameroonian midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, who picked up a head injury recently. Jens-Lys Cajuste will take his place if he is not given the medical green light before the game.
Kvicha Kvaratskhelia has also been confirmed by Rudi Garcia to be out of the tie because he has a slight discomfort.
All eyes will be on Frosinoneβs Giuseppe Caso and Osimhen for the clash. He is now the star of the team after Samuele Mulattieri, the main man behind their promotion efforts last season, moved to Sassuolo who is next on Napoli fixtures list.
Caso will be hoping to outshine Osimhen in front of the Frosinone fans come 19 August when the Napoli vs Frosinone match opens the Serie A 2023/24 season.

Napoli vs Frosinone prediction
Napoli are expected to coast to a straight win. Frosinone, however, have had a good home run in 2023, which means that Rudi Garcia and his men will do well not to take their trip to the Stadio Benito Stirpe for granted.
Napoli vs Frosinone β 2-1.
